Just a touch of rain last night…….ALL NIGHT ! The road out in front of the house got flooded again. Water as you can see is about hip deep. The lower part of the driveway is completely under water.
This is the pond in front of the house and it is , at this time, about 18″ from cresting. I do not think it will make it though.
We use a well system here, not that you could find it. The top of the well and the cover to the well are right underneath that blue PVC pipe.. See it 🙂 This will be fun the next couple of days getting it cleaned out. When the rainy season is over I will fix that problem but now I just have to deal with it.

In perspective that area’s such a small spec on the face of our big blue marble, but when you’re standing there and see THAT much water moving along with nothing you can do *other* than watch it, it’s daunting. I love demonstrations of nature’s power – and would have loved to have seen the flooding there, I suppose – there’s an element of the unknown involved that makes it frightening. When water rose to within 18″ of MY yard a couple of years ago it wasn’t as entertaining! Good luck with the well!

Thanks for the good wishes. Water receded off the well cap so now on Monday we can start to solve the problem. As it turned out everything was OK
